Stripe is a simple tool that allows you to accept payments via Bancontact in your online store in just a few clicks. After you have entered the necessary information, Stripe will accept payments via Bancontact and transfer them directly to your bank account. It really is that easy.
- Log in to the editor of your online store. Click SETTINGS to open the Settings menu.
- Click Online Store to open the online store settings.
- Click Set up next to the Payment Methods option on the right side of the settings window.
- You will see your existing payment methods. Click Add new method.
- In the next window, click on the arrow to open the drop-down menu and choose the option Bancontact – Stripe.
- Then click on the Connect Stripe button. You will then be redirected to the Stripe login page.
- Fill in all required fields, including: Name, address, business address, website, bank account information, etc… Once you’ve filled all that in, click on Authorize access to this account.
- Your Stripe account is now linked to your SiteBuilder online store. If you want, you can also charge a fee for this payment method in the 2nd field (Price).
If you also want to add VAT to this payment method, enter the price excluding VAT in the 3rd field and choose the VAT rate you want to use.
- Your customers can now choose to pay via Bancontact and thanks to Stripe, the money you earn will be transferred directly to your bank account.
Process payouts
Transfers of payments from the Stripe account to your bank account are made according to the selected payout schedule, which you set in the Dashboard in your Stripe account. In the dashboard you can change the payout schedule and you will also find an overview of all transfers from Stripe to your account.
The first payout usually takes a little longer after you open the Stripe account. Processing subsequent payouts will then be done according to the payout schedule of your account. More information about receiving payments can be found here
